Hello Class!
This is our final post of the session so I wanted to take the time and space to congratulate you on finishing Level 8! What an accomplishment! You have worked hard and perservered to get to this point, and I know it was not easy! You are all wonderful people who have enriched my life in ways that you are probably not aware, and I thank you for that. If there is one thing that I could ask of you all, it is to follow your hearts and wildest dreams in life because as you are proving right now, you can do anything! I hope that you have learned a lot during your time at CELI, and I hope that I have been able contribute to that learning both academically and otherwise! Congratulations and warmest wishes to you all, my dear class!
Peace and Love

A Penny For Your Thoughts!
Hello Class,
I know that I am posting late, but I thought I would give you the opportunity to start blogging amongst yourselves...but no one blogged. So, since we are nearing the end of our classes together, and you are all (hopefully) going to moving on to bigger things!
This week, I'd like you to share your thoughts about the time you have spent here at CELI and in Montreal. Blog about the things you have learned, the friends you've made, the experiences, and anything else you'd like to share. What will you remember most? Why? Give us the good, the bad, and the crazy!
Happy Blogging Class!

Week 7
Hello Class!
As I mentioned in class, The Twilight Zone is an old television show that told twisted stories that usually had an ethical or moral lesson to be learned. The episode you will watch is titled "Button, Button". A movie is coming out soon called The Box, which is based on this story. Copy and paste (or CTL + click) the two URLs below. Watch Part 1 and Part 2.
Watch the show, give your reactions and discuss what you think the lesson or moral of the story is. Did you get it? Did you like it? Why or why not?
Happy Blogging!

Hello Class!
What a great day it was with all of you! Congratulations for making it half way through!
As you all know from the hand out I gave you in class, you were asked to blog about your reactions to this week's main topic on population. I am posting the assignment below for those of you who may have been absent.
Looking back on the video and various readings on population react to the topic on your blog. Use these questions to help you. Remember to comment on at least two of your classmates' reactions.

Assignment #2
Hello Class,
Have you heard of the Fair Trade Movement? Since you all enjoyed the last video which exposed our obsession with consumption and explained the processing of "stuff", I thought we could look at another way in which we, as consumers, can actually affect the way the markets operate. If you drink coffee or tea, eat fruits and rice, or enjoy chocolate as much as I do, you can join the movement by being an informed consumer! Please copy and paste the link below into your browser and watch the 8-minute video clip. Share your impressions with us!
Had you heard of Fair Trade before? Do you think a fair trade global economy is possible?
